How do I quickly check how many students need closer attention?
To check how many students need closer attention:
- Navigate to the Classes page.
- Click to select the desired class.
- Navigate to the Overview tab.
- Look at the categories on the right side.
- Check the numbers for each category: Grades Pending, In Remediation, Needs Intervention.
- To inspect the details of any of these categories, click the icon in the top right of that category.
- Click the Details button in the Actions menu.
Here is a summary of what each Overview category means:
- Inactive Students: Inactive students have never launched the class.
- In Remediation: This number of students have been scaffolded in a concept. When a student is scaffolded, they struggle with a concept and are moved to the prerequisite for that concept.
- Enrollment: Number of students enrolled in the class.
- Needs Intervention: This number of students need intervention. When a student needs intervention, that means they struggled even after being moved to the prerequisite for a concept (or struggled with a concept that does not have a prerequisite).
- Grades Pending: This number of late submissions is pending. Late submissions are assignments that have been completed past the due date.
